I enrolled in this LLM expecting a traditional program in European business law — rules, directives, legal mechanisms. I thought I knew what I had signed up for. What I didn’t expect was how much this experience would open me up far beyond the academic framework.
This LLM gave me strong legal knowledge, of course, but more importantly, it offered a broader, clearer perspective on the role of law in European society. Each course was an invitation to dive into deeper issues, economic, political, human, led by passionate and deeply committed professors. It wasn’t just about learning; it was about understanding, questioning, and engaging in real debate.
What struck me the most was the human dimension: meaningful encounters, enriching conversations, and a true sense of community where the diversity of backgrounds made every exchange more valuable. The study trip to Brussels and Luxembourg only strengthened the feeling of being connected to something real and dynamic.
This LLM far exceeded the expectations one might have of a standard legal program. It was a year of intensity, growth and inspiration, intellectually and just as much on a human level.
