  • International Conference on "Frontiers of New Balance in Intellectual Property" (in visio), Mr. Banggui JIN participated in the conference organized by Jinan University (Guangzhou, China), on April 26, 2023, intervention: "Copyright protection of AI-generated outputs from a comparative law perspective".

     

  • "Le premier Code civil de la République Populaire de Chine, un vecteur d'innovations juridiques?", Mr. Banggui JIN took part in the conference organized by the Association Franco-Chinoise pour le Droit Économique (AFCDE), Barreau de Paris, on April 19, 2023, intervention: "les nouveautés apportées par le Code civil chinois à l'égard des sujets de droit".

     

  • "International Conference on Fintech, Cyberspace and Artificial Intelligence" (3rd Edition, in visio), IREA takes part in its organization. Mr. JIN Banggui, Director of IREA, is a member of the Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee of this event, and is giving a talk on "Copyright protection of AI-generated works under Chinese law" (in collaboration with Mr. Zhe DAI, Doctor of Law, AMU).

     

  • "Asia at the crossroads of cultures", Mr. Banggui JIN took part in the interdisciplinary colloquium organized by the Centre d'Éthique économique et des affaires, FDSP, Aix-Marseille Université and Agence ITER France, on March 4, 2023, speaking on "Legal traditions and their impact on today's society in China".

 

In 2022 :

  • Mr. Rémi FOUQUE, doctoral student, took part in Conference on Comparative and International Law (online) organized by the Society of Juridical and Administration Sciences (Romania) and Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania) on June 24, 2022; his talk was on "Sino-European Customs Protection of Intellectual Property Rights: From Upmost Necessity to Concrete Measures".     As a partner of the event, IREA is involved in its organization. Mr. JIN Banggui, Director of IREA, is a member of the event's Scientific Committee.

     

  • Mr. Banggui JIN participated in the 3rd APELIA Conference (in visio) organized by the City University of Hong Kong on June 1-2, 2022. The Asia-Pacific and Europe Law Institutes Alliance (APELIA) is a consortium of 18 law schools from European and Asia-Pacific universities created in 2019 in Shanghai. Aix-Marseille Université's Faculty of Law and Political Science is one of the founding members of the consortium. It is also the only French law faculty participating in the consortium. Dean Jean Baptiste PERRIER, Mr. Jean-François MARCHI, Vice-Dean in charge of international relations, and Mr. Banggui JIN took part in the 3rd Consortium Council via videoconference on June 2, 2022 (see: http: //www.apelia.cn/empty.html).

     

  • LL.M. in European Business Law students attended a seminar on "VAT and Community Law" on May 23 and 24, 2022. The seminar was led by Maitre Jean-Claude BOUCHARD, tax lawyer at the Paris Bar and VAT expert advisor to the European Commission.

     

  • Mr. Banggui JIN and Ms. Chaowei XU (PhD student) took part in the "International Conference on Fintech Law" (in visio) organized by the Society of Juridical and Administrative Sciences on May 12, 2022; their talk was on "Digital Currency in China :Pilot Implementations, Legal Challenges and Prospects" (see: http: //www.adjuris.ro/fintech/comorg_en.html)

     

  • Mr. Banggui JIN took part in the Conference on "New Silk Roads in Africa" (in visio) organized by the Paris Bar Association on April 7, 2022; the talk was on "Taxation of BRI (New Silk Roads) projects in Africa".

     

In 2021 :

  • Mr. Banggui JIN and Mr. Zhe DAI (former IREA doctoral student, Senior Lecturer at Jinan Universtié (Guangdong, China) took part in the Colloquium organized by the Centre du droit de la santé de l'Aix-Marseille Université on November 25, 2021 in Aix-en-Provence: Patent lifting, un projet, une posture ou une imposture? They spoke on the following topic: "China's position on the lifting of patents on Covid-19 vaccines".

     

  • Mr. Banggui JIN and Mr. Kaihong WEI (doctoral student) took part in the Colloquium organized by the Revue européenne et internationale de droit fiscal on April 9, 2021: international tax competition - is tax optimization beyond borders still possible? (online); their talk was on "is tax optimization in China possible?"

     

  • On May 27 and 28, 2021, IREA and CEFF (Centre d'Études Fiscales et Financières) have co-organized a "hybrid" conference on "New Silk Roads, Tax and Customs Approaches, Challenges and Prospects". This event was organized in collaboration with the Tax Science Research Institute near the State Administration of Taxation of China, the Shanghai National Customs School and the Shanghai Law Society (SLC) Customs Law Center.

     

In 2019 :

  • On July 9, 2019 in Beijing, IREA organized a Franco-Chinese Seminar on "Settlement of international tax disputes" in collaboration with CEFF (Centre d'Études Fiscales et Financières) and the Institut de Recherches en Science fiscale près l'Administration d'Etat des Impôts de Chine.
