More than just a degree…
Studying the LLM in European Business Law at Aix-Marseille University was a formative experience, both academically and personally. The curriculum offered a comprehensive insight into different areas of business law, such as competition and corporate law but also comparative law, including perspectives on practical application. Courses were intellectually stimulating, and the study trip to Brussels and Luxembourg – where we visited key EU institutions – brought the theoretical knowledge to life in a unique and memorable way.
What really made the experience special were the people. Our group was made up of students from all over Europe, the US and China, which created a great mix of perspectives and made discussions in and outside the classroom really engaging. The professors were not only experts in their fields, but also very approachable and supportive. You could tell they genuinely cared about helping us grow – both academically and professionally. The whole program was also really well run, with everything clearly organized from start to finish, which made it easy to navigate the academic workload while also enjoying the cultural experience.
Living in Aix-en-Provence was the perfect complement to the academic challenges – Aix is charming, vibrant, and rich in history, with a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Studying in the heart of Provence meant not only access to excellent local cuisine and beautiful landscapes, but also an opportunity to experience French culture at its finest. I look back on my time in Aix with great fondness and would recommend the program without hesitation.
